Equity Union launches agent healthcare program with Trident BPO

Equity Union Real Estate has launched a new healthcare program that gives eligible affiliated real estate agents and their families access to group-style health coverage options, including a nationwide PPO network, through a partnership with Trident BPO, the company announced last week. The initiative extends Equity Union’s agent support platform into a long-standing pain point for independent real estate professionals: securing affordable, flexible health coverage outside a traditional employer-sponsored benefits program. According to the National Association of Realtors’ 2025 Profile of Real Estate Firms, 81% of real estate firms reported that health insurance is not offered to independent contractors, licensees or agents. Because most real estate agents operate as independent contractors, they are typically responsible for finding, evaluating and purchasing health insurance on their own or through a spouse or other source.
