Eddie McGuire will be spending a little more time in Sydney, up from Melbourne, given his return to radio broadcasting has him co-presenting the weekly GOLD FM national Friday afternoon show along with Karl Stefanovic from June.
He’s been telling Sydney media mates he’s after a good Airbnb.

“I will be flying in at times,” he said.
“Bruce McWilliam has plenty of accommodation or maybe I hit up JP (James Packer) for his bolthole at Crown?”
It’s 20 years since McGuire briefly took up residence in Sydney, in one of the five grand apartments within Darling Point’s Babworth House, after a tip-off on its availability.

The 1915 Arts and Craft home was built as a grand 26-bedroom mansion for retailer Sir Samuel Hordern.
Landlord Tim Throsby, had just left Lehman Brothers for Citadel, when he paid $8.1m in 2006 for the apartment.

Coincidently the $3000 a week, six-bedroom Mount Adelaide St apartment rented by Eddie and his wife, Carla, has returned to the rental market. Raine & Horne Double Bay agent Larissa Oliveira is seeking $8000 a week.
Meanwhile Sydney Confidential Unleashed revealed Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg is living in billionaire James Packer’s apartment while filming the Netflix drama The Big Fix.
The billionaire is understood to have loaned the Oscar-nominated actor his luxury pad at the Crown Residences at One Barangaroo while Wahlberg films a new Netflix drama, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Packer bought the double-storey apartment off the plan for $72 million in 2017.
The sprawling sky home sits across two floors near the top of the landmark building, features an internal elevator, and boasts more than 1000sq m of space.
Residents also share access to Crown Sydney’s 24-hour facilities, including a tennis court, pool, and spa.
While the home is palatial, the super-fit star forked out his own money to upgrade the gym equipment to meet his strict standards.

Wahlberg is known for his highly active lifestyle and regularly shares his fitness gains on social media.
The 54-year-old star previously rented a $100m mansion in Point Piper during a prior visit to Sydney in March 2024. That three-storey property features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and seven parking spaces.
