Former Geelong mayor Darryn Lyons has found a buyer for one of his bayside properties. Former mayor Darryn Lyons has started to cash in on his multimillion-dollar Geelong property portfolio after selling the more modest of his two waterfront residences. The colourful media personality and paparazzo had used the four-bedroom house at 1 Toorak Pde, Geelong, as a base for his business. It neighbours his palatial former home, Lyons View, a seven-bedroom mansion on Geelong’s premium waterfront strip. Lyons had originally listed the Toorak Pde villa for $2.2m-$2.4m through Buxton agent David Gray but last month dropped the price to $1.4m-$1.5m. While the sale price is not disclosed, but it is believed to have been within that range.
