Damian Eales named News Corp nominee director at REA Group

Tracey Fellows will step down from the REA Group board next month and be replaced by Move Inc. chief executive officer Damian Eales as News Corp Australia’s nominee director, the company announced on Tuesday REA Group Ltd (ASX: REA), a multinational digital advertising and property technology company headquartered in Richmond, Victoria, Australia, said Fellows will leave the board on Nov. 13, 2026, after 12 years with the company, according to an announcement to the Australian Securities Exchange. Fellows joined the REA board in August 2014 when she was appointed chief executive officer of the digital real estate company. She led REA as CEO until January 2019, then remained on the board as a nonexecutive director representing majority shareholder News Corp Australia. REA Chair Hamish McLennan thanked Fellows for her long tenure, saying in the announcement that she has made a “substantial contribution” to the business as both CEO and director. News Corp Australia has nominated Eales to fill the vacant seat, with his appointment to take effect on Nov. 14, 2026.
