For the vendors, it was the latter, the inner-Geelong setting, that drew them to the property more than two decades ago. “We first fell in love with the area back in the mid-1980s, when we bought our first home – a little Victorian cottage in Swanston St,” they say. “When the property in Sydney Ave came on to the market, just a few blocks north, we immediately saw its potential.
