Compass launches global division for cross-border referrals

Compass launched the Compass Global Division, an internal agent-to-agent network designed to connect U.S.-based clients with vetted advisors for international real estate transactions, the company announced Monday. The new unit formalizes a structure for Compass agents to work with peers who maintain established practices in foreign markets while using the same technology, tracking and referral tools the brokerage employs in its U.S. operations. The move comes as more affluent buyers pursue cross-border purchases, second homes overseas and residency-by-investment options, often encountering fragmented services and unfamiliar transaction standards. Core members of the division’s elite Tier 1 are U.S.-based Compass agents who also hold independent standing to transact in a foreign market, according to the announcement.
