Ms Henman paid $1.25m for an original three-bedroom brick house in 2018 and quickly fell in love with its mid-century soul. I don’t need anything else.’ It was like a little oasis in the middle of Mermaid Beach.” Ms Henman called off the wrecking ball, completing a careful renovation to preserve its 1960s architecture without overcapitalising.
