Rob Lowe: Net Worth $140m ($US100m)
Former ‘80s heart-throb Rob Lowe has built a massive real estate portfolio alongside his ongoing screen career.
In 2005, the actor and his wife Sheryl sold a mansion in Montecito, California, for $35m ($US25m) to education billionaire Peter Sterling.
The couple then purchased a nearby 1.4ha ocean-view block. They spent four years constructing a massive 930sq m custom home.
The West Wing star listed the mega-estate for $67m ($US47m) in June 2018, surrounded by high-profile neighbours including Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.
Private equity tycoon Jack McGinley bought the home for $65.4m ($US45.5m) in October 2020.
Following the huge windfall, the Lowes launched a California property shopping spree.
In October 2020, the pair paid $5.3m ($US3.7m) for a Beverly Hills mansion, which they listed for sale in July 2024 for $9.4m ($US6.6m). It sold in 2025 for $5.7m ($US4m).
The duo also snapped up two additional Montecito homes in late 2020 for $7.4m ($US5.2m) and $18m ($US13m).

Lowe’s career previously survived a major 1988 videotape scandal in Georgia, eventually rebounding with multiple Primetime Emmy nominations.
Lowe credited the scandal for helping him get sober after struggling with alcohol and sex addiction.
“[The fallout] definitely changed my life at the time, and, in hindsight, I realised it was another step that led me to recovery and re-evaluating my life,” Lowe told People in 2024.
“But the thing that really changed me was not being able to show up for my family and myself.”
Lowe recalled being “so ready” to kick his addiction by the time he checked into a rehab facility in 1990.

Demi Moore: Net Worth $287m ($US200m)
Demi Moore claims the top spot on the Brat Pack wealth list. The St Elmo’s Fire star went on to secure massive paydays in Ghost, A Few Good Men, and Indecent Proposal.
Just this week, Page Six reported how Moore negotiated a massive salary increase going into Season 3 of Landman. Moore, who plays Cami Miller in the drama, will make around $1.1m ($US770,000) per episode.
Show creator Taylor Sheridan said he used the Golden Globe winner to “rage bait” viewers.
“When I met with Demi, I told her, ‘You’re gonna be an extra in this show for seven episodes’.” he told Hello last month.
“You’re an extra. The critics are gonna come after me. I’m under-utilising this, I can’t write for women, all this nonsense.
“Then I’m gonna kill your husband and you’re gonna have to run the oil company’.”
Moore became the highest-paid actress in film history in the mid-1990s when she secured $17.9m ($US12.5m).
She also earned $15.8m ($US11m) for G.I. Jane and millions more as a producer for the Austin Powers franchise.

In 1990, the couple paid $10m ($US7m) for a 650sq m penthouse in New York’s iconic San Remo building.
Moore walked away with the property in the divorce, listing it in 2015 for $107m ($US75m). She eventually sold the penthouse in 2017 for $64m ($US45m).
Her portfolio also includes several properties in Idaho and a Beverly Hills mansion purchased in 2003 for $4.5m ($US3.15m).

During an episode of Ted Danson’s Where Everybody Knows Your Name podcast, the actor reflected on the misconception that his success fuelled his addiction.
“People always go, ‘Oh, well, you were too young, successful. That was too much for you, so you drank,’” McCarthy told Danson.
“I’m like, ‘No, I would have drunk anyway. I was just able to afford better vodka.’”
When Danson noted McCarthy was “certainly functional” in the early years, McCarthy agreed, “To a point.”
“Those kind of movies, that was early on. I was just starting to drink in those movies, but I certainly think it derailed my career entirely.
“Because not only the drinking, but then the years it took to recover from the drinking.
