Bank of America, PNC share top ranking in Keynova’s 2026 home equity scorecard

Bank of America and PNC tied for first place for the second straight year in Keynova Group’s 2026 Mortgage-Home Equity Scorecard, which evaluates the digital experiences offered by 12 leading U.S. mortgage and home equity lenders. The scorecard, produced each year since 2005, assesses digital capabilities across bank and nonbank lenders, with a focus on application processes, closing and funding, relationship-building tools and educational resources. The 2026 study evaluates Bank of America, Chase, Citi, Citizens, PNC, Truist, U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo, Freedom Mortgage, loanDepot, Rate and Rocket Mortgage. “As consumers increasingly use on-demand services across all retail sectors, faster closing and funding options are the new battleground in home lending, with origination growth and borrower satisfaction closely tied to ease of application, speed of approval and timely access to funds,” said Beth Robertson, managing director at Keynova Group.
