Aussie homeowners think falling prices won’t hurt them

The latest point being the Aussie home. You see when it comes to the great Aussie dream it might just be – NIMBY: not in my backyard. According to new research, Aussies are very aware of the falling property market across the country. The thing is, they just don’t think their home will be affected. According to a survey from Pureprofile, the majority of Australians believe the broader property market will see prices fall in the next 12 months, however they don’t believe this will not affect their own backyards. Nothing to worry about. House prices in our capital cities have fallen by as much as five per cent over the last year, with some expecting the slump to continue through to 2028.
