Private investment management firm Archwell Capital announced on Sept. 18 that it has named Mike Middleman as CEO as it expands its investments and operating businesses across mortgage lending, insurance, commercial real estate and other industries. Middleman comes from Freedom Mortgage where he most recently served as managing director and remains vice chairman. He also is a co-founder of Moder, Archwell Capital’s business intelligence company that provides artificial intelligence and operations services to financial institutions, and remains its executive chairman. Middleman has also been involved in developing BrightCover, Archwell Capital’s insurance business.
