Architect creates $75k fireproof flatpack home after terrifying Black Summer bushfire escape

Fiona Logge was fleeing for her life through the surf while pregnant when she looked back and saw her husband, architect Adriano Pupilli, swimming towards the flames to save their home. Now Mr Pupilli has turned that trauma into Casa Manyana – a flatpack, fire-resistant tiny home that can be delivered on a ute and built for as little as $75,000. The couple’s terrifying brush with the Black Summer bushfires began in December 2019, when the Currowan State Forest fire cut off their holiday home at Manyana on the NSW south coast.
