29 Olola Ave, Vaucluse has just sold for $9.5m, and it’s pretty clear who the buyer is.
Tracey Bartholomew, wife of big punter-turned-online bookie Sean Bartholomew, looks a sure bet to have bought a neighbour’s house in Vaucluse.
The couple are understood to be moving to 29 Olola Ave, the five-bedroom home on a 1100sqm owned by scientist Russell Howard, which has just sold for $9.5m via Paul Biller and Calvin Stewart of Biller Property.
Neither agent would comment, though interestingly the agents have recently listed the Bartholomews’ current residence at 21A Olola Ave, in conjunction with Andre Frack of Richardson and Wrench Bondi Junction, with a $9m guide for a forthcoming auction.

The interiors are a bit dated …
But it does come with this impressive pool.
No.21A is also a five-bedroom home but on a smaller 591sqm block. However, it does have stylish interiors, a great layout and a level lawn that will no doubt appeal to young families.
Both properties come with pools and have views over Vaucluse House.
Clearly the Bartholomews were keen on the larger home on the bigger block, though the interiors of No. 29 look a bit dated, so no doubt they’ve got a makeover in mind.
The couple’s current home, at 21A Olola Ave, Vaucluse, has just hit the market.

Plus, young families will love the level lawn.
They’d previously owned a grand three-level, four-bedroom Michael Suttor-designed home, with Cameron Kimber interiors and gardens designed by Paul Bangay, in Black St, Vaucluse.
That 1054 sqm property, with 360-degree views of the Pacific Ocean, Sydney Harbour and city skyline, sold for $12.5m in 2017.
The couple then headed to England but returned to buy 21A Olola Ave for $9.5m in 2023.
Russell Howard is a non-executive chairman of biotech company Immutep, which develops immunotherapies for cancer and autoimmune diseases.
He is also executive chairman of NeuClone, another biotechnology company.
