Publicly-available property records show that the most expensive house to sell in Point Vernon to date changed hands for $1.82 million in December 2024.

Another Esplanade property with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and on a 1084sq m block sold on February 3, and while the price has yet to be disclosed, it is understood to have set a new record for the suburb.
But that could change with the sale of 108 Esplanade, which is being marketed by Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty agent Lynn Malone.

The latest REA Market Trends report shows that the median house price in Point Vernon has soared a whopping 108.5 per cent since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020.
Point Vernon is Hervey Bay’s premier waterfront precinct, with the Esplanade foreshore stretching 16km.
The nearby Urangan Pier and Great Sandy Straits Marina offer world-class fishing and boating.
K’gari, the world’s largest sand island, is just a 45-minute ferry ride away, and Hervey Bay, the first designated Whale Heritage Area in the world, attracts visitors from all over each winter.
The region attracted big money out of places like the Sunshine Coast and interstate as people made lifestyle moves during the pandemic.
