Charlize Theron has revealed she is planning a move to Australia after falling for the country during recent filming in the Blue Mountains.
The Hollywood A-lister declared a Down Under move is in her future, calling the nation an “incredible place” that she and her children have fallen in love with.
Speaking to 10 News, the Oscar-winner was very clear about her relocation plans after filming the Netflix survival thriller Apex.
“Mark my words, I will live in Australia one day. It truly is, for me, an incredible place,” she said.
“My children came out to visit me and they fell in love with it. My oldest was like, ‘Can we live here, Mum?’ I was like, ‘I know, right? It’s incredible.’
“I love the people. I love how feisty they are and the tenacity, and I just think the place is absolutely gorgeous.
“So, yeah, I think this is my future. So whether you like it or not, I’m coming.”

As the Mad Max: Fury Road star prepares to pivot to an Australian future, she leaves behind an extensive US property portfolio.
In 2024, the Sweet November actress purchased a Los Angeles-area mansion for her mother, Gerda Maritz, for $4.5 million ($US3,290,000), Realtor reports.
The five-bedroom Studio City residence features the double-sided fireplace in the primary suite and the spa-style bath with breathtaking views.
Hollywood Hills hide-out
That same year, Theron listed her high-end Hollywood Hills home for $5.2 million ($US3,750,000) The residence was last reported as pending sale.
The Atomic Blonde actress purchased the three-bedroom property in 2004 for $4.1 million ($US3 million), reportedly for her mother.
The Spanish-style estate features beamed ceilings and a lagoon pool with a waterfall.

Studio City estate
Theron also owns a three-bedroom home in Studio City, a quick drive from Universal Studios.
Records show she purchased the property in 2022 for $3.6 million ($US2.6 million).
Built in 1941, the residence features white-oak flooring, a detached flex space, and a Japanese soaking tub.
Outpost Estates home base
Purchased in 1998 for $2.2 million ($US1.6 million), the mansion in the hilly Outpost Estates neighbourhood serves as her primary home base in Southern California.
The circa-1929 residence features a stucco facade and a tile roof.
Historic Los Angeles bungalow
Theron previously owned a Spanish-style bungalow, which she bought in 2000 for $725,000 ($US519,000).
She sold the property in 2022 for $3.2 million ($US2,325,000) after completing a major renovation that included adding a lap pool and home theatre.
Records show the sale was finalised in just two weeks.

Broadway Hollywood Lofts
In 2007, the Bombshell actress paid $3.8 million ($US2.75 million) for a penthouse in the historic Broadway Hollywood Lofts building.
The two-floor unit was sold at a loss in 2016 for $2.4 million ($US1.75 million) to Netflix co-CEO Reed Hastings.
Ojai estate
In July 2018, Theron paid $5.8 million ($US4.2 million) for a 21-acre property in Ojai, California.
Following an extensive renovation of the estate, which had been held by the same family for over five decades, the property is now estimated to be worth $21 million ($US15 million).
