A Mornington family home renovated by Block favourites Emma and Ben has sold after attracting strong attention for its scale, finish and design pedigree.
A big-ticket Mornington sale has been sealed after The Block favourites Emma and Ben took their renovated family home to market.
The home sold for about $1.86m, according to a property source.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom house at 18 Brydon Close, Mornington, was listed late last year with price hopes of $1.75m-$1.925m.

The couple had previously spoken publicly about being forced to sell amid financial pressure following their reality TV experience.
When the home first hit the market in November, Carman Real Estate director Jarrod Carman said the property had attracted solid early interest, describing it as “a great family home” with four bedrooms, a study and a pool, and saying the sale was not driven by desperation.

Buyer’s advocate and mortgage broker Madeleine Roberts questioned whether the Mornington sale price stacked up for the location.
M R Advocacy director and mortgage broker Madeleine Roberts said the result appeared high for the pocket, despite the home’s larger block size and turnkey appeal.
“It actually does surprise me for that particular pocket, if I’m honest,” Ms Roberts said.
“If it were closer to the beach, I’d expect that sort of price.
“Otherwise, I would have thought closer to $1.7m.”
The renovated kitchen features stone benchtops, shaker cabinetry and modern appliances, forming the centre of the home’s open-plan living space.
The Mornington home sits on a 1090sq m block in a quiet estate, with a two-storey facade and landscaped gardens.
Ms Roberts said the pocket, near Benton’s Estate and the racecourse, was not an area she typically viewed as a premium Mornington address.
“At $1.86m, I’d be buying in Mount Eliza,” she said.
“It’s simply a more desirable location.”
She said scarcity may have played a role, but warned the sale should not automatically reset expectations for comparable homes nearby.
Updated bathrooms were part of the Hamptons-inspired renovation, featuring contemporary finishes and statement tiling.
A resort-style backyard with pool and spa was a key drawcard for family buyers during the sales campaign.
“There is a bit of scarcity at the moment … so if someone wanted that exact product, they’ve probably stretched,” she said.
The Brydon Close home was promoted during the campaign as a Hamptons-inspired designer renovation, featuring multiple living zones, a study, updated wet areas, and a resort-style backyard with a pool and spa, plus a freestanding four-car garage with side access on a 1090sq m allotment.

The Mornington sale comes as the couple’s Block renovation in Daylesford remains on the market.
Ray White Sunbury’s Aaron Hill said Emma and Ben’s Daylesford home had seen limited inquiry over the Christmas period, but interest was expected to lift again as buyers returned from holidays.
Mr Hill confirmed there had been offers in the high $2m range after the home passed in at auction last year, but “nothing over $3m”.

The property at 5 Cedar Lane, Daylesford, is listed with a $3m-$3.3m price guide, which has not changed since the show wrapped up in 2025.
He said efforts to sell the home would “kick off again in the next few weeks” as buyers returned and the Australian Open wraps up.
NewsCorp Australia has contacted Mr Carman for comment on the Mornington sale.
