As NSW advances plans for a rail corridor to link Sydney’s southwest with its new airport, these up-and-coming suburbs present big opportunities for homebuyers.
The federal government has committed $1 billion to secure land for a rail corridor aimed at connecting Leppington to Bradfield and bridging the gap between the Bradfield City Centre and suburbs in the Macarthur region.
This significant investment is set to pave the way for metro or train extensions across the south-west suburbs that will improve connectivity. It will link residents to Sydney's CBD and provide direct access through the airport to international destinations.
Property Council Western Sydney regional director Ross Grove said the commitment to fund rail corridors would bolster confidence to grow these city regions, and noted the federal funding was a great first step in this big project.
“Creating an efficient traveller-friendly rail network will involve further investment in construction of the line and additional upgrades to existing infrastructure, so it’s important the NSW government be ready with additional funding as required,” Mr Grove said.
While Sydney’s newest stations will take a while to open, buyers have the opportunity to act now. And there are new developments across all these suburbs that offer a chance to plan ahead.
Below are some of the growing suburbs set to benefit off the new rail link, that currently have a range of new housing suitable for various buyers.
