Sydney buyers are driving early momentum at a new luxury apartment developent at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast.

The new $150m 33-storey residential tower Arden at 152 Surf Pde is already 20 per cent sold after just a few weeks on the market, with five sales totalling $20m, all from Sydney.

There will be just 25 residences in total, priced from $4m, with 22 full-floor residences spanning more than 250sqm, two circa 500 sqm dual-level sub-penthouses at $11.5m each and a signature dual-level 520sqm penthouse.

The Sydney buyers come from the lower north shore, Sutherland Shire, the east and the northern beaches.

The luxury building is 20 per cent sold after just a few weeks on the market.

There will be just 25 residences in the 33-storey tower.

Most are purchasing as a second or third home with plans to spend their time between Sydney and the Gold Coast.

The project is being developed by NBFI Invest with Paynter Dixon and marketed through Highland Property.

Highland CEO David Highland said this level of early demand highlighted the enduring appeal of the Gold Coast’s luxury apartment market.

“Demand from Sydney buyers has been particularly strong, with many looking for a residence that combines the lifestyle of the Gold Coast with the level of quality and scale they’re accustomed to in premium Sydney developments,” he said.

“To see 20 per cent of the project secured within the first week of launch demonstrates both the scarcity of full-floor residences in this part of Broadbeach and the strength of buyer confidence in the team behind Arden.”

The whole-floor residences span more than 250sqm.

The sub-penthouses are circa 500sqm.

Executive Chairman of NBFI Peter Wright said the early sales activity reflected strong underlying demand for boutique, high-end residential offerings in the Gold Coast’s most established lifestyle precinct.

“Broadbeach continues to evolve as one of Australia’s premier beachfront destinations, and Arden has been carefully designed to meet the expectations of buyers seeking privacy, scale and sophistication,” Mr Wright said.

It’s within wallking distance of the coastline.

“The early response to the project has been extremely encouraging and reinforces our confidence in the strength of the luxury residential market on the Gold Coast.”

Each of the full-floor residences across levels three to seven have been designed to maximise open plan living and natural light, with generous floor plans starting from 251sqm and capturing both park and water views.

Arden is positioned within walking distance of the coastline and the vibrant dining, retail and entertainment precincts of Broadbeach.
