The lottery’s winner, Kristian, aged 80, said he was “stunned” to receive the call claiming he was the winner of the Dream Home Art Union’s Prize Home Lottery.

“I have never won anything in my life – not even a meat tray,” he said.

“I’ve had to work hard for everything I’ve done.”

While he never expected to win, Kristian said he would go to sleep thinking about what he would do if he did.

“There are so many wonderful things I can do to help people with a win like this,” he said.

“That is what is important.

“I have done it all and I have got a nice life, but to be able to give to other people who are deserving is just a wonderful thing to be able to do.”

Now retired, former engineer Kristian, said he planned to sell the home and use the money to help out his family and friends.

The new luxury pad in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast boasts a private sauna, steam room, ice bath, gym, pool and plunge spa.

From the four-bedroom home he can also enjoy sweeping ocean views, a climate-controlled cellar and expansive entertaining areas.
