A sprawling coastal home has hit the Darwin property market with a hidden wine cellar and an oval office.
The home at 425 Trower Rd, Brinkin, was listed for sale via offer through Belinda Kolstad of Smart Real Estate last week.
“It’s a very unique property,” she said.
“There aren’t many homes in Darwin that have an underground, fully-functioning, climate- controlled wine cellar.
“I haven’t seen anything like it myself.”

The wine cellar sits under a ground-floor self-contained apartment, and is accessed via a fully electric gas lift door in the floor.
Ms Kolstad said the concrete room was certainly a little James Bond-esque.
“You can see the outline of the door in the tiled floor but if you put a rug over it, you wouldn’t know it was there,” she said.
“It measures about 3m by 3m and it is climate-controlled all year round.”
Ms Kolstad said while the current owners didn’t use the room as they aren’t drinkers, it could make the perfect secret cocktail bar or speak-easy.
“I’m thinking some gin and LED lights,” she said.

Ms Kolstad said the property’s unique features didn’t stop at the cellar, with the home office featuring a striking curved wall.
“To be able to work from home in your very own oval office would be the dream,” she said.
The Brinkin home sits on a 1130 sqm block overlooking the Casuarina Coastal Reserve.
It has a self-contained unit with bedroom, bathroom and kitchen spaces, plus four other bedrooms, three more bathrooms, a pool, a spa and multiple outdoor spaces enjoying the views and sea breezes.
“To have a personal wine cellar and to be able to sit on one of the balconies and watch the evening sunsets or the storms roll in, nothing can compare,” Ms Kolstad said.
