1-3 Cedarwood Court, St Albans Park, is on the market for $2.1m to $2.25m.

Extended family is welcomed with open arms at a sprawling St Albans Park lifestyle property where resort-style surrounds have played host to many memorable gatherings.

It’s a case of the more, the merrier for vendors Ruth and Noel Roberts, who bought the five-bedroom house several years ago with their visiting grandchildren in mind.

With a covered swimming pool, spa, tennis court and multiple living areas at the 3113sq m property, it’s fair to say there has been few complaints.

Perhaps the biggest drawcards of 1-3 Cedarwood Court, St Albans Park, are the huge covered entertainment area featuring an outdoor kitchen and neighbouring rumpus room, anchored by an impressive bar with twin beer taps.

Mrs Roberts says the home’s welcoming vibe means everyone always wants the couple to host.

“We have had a lot of parties and Christmas lunches in the bar room,” she says. “We also spend a lot of time in the alfresco area – we use that barbecue every day and cook all our meat out there – and the kitchen is lovely. You can have any amount of people and it never feels crowded.”

Polished timber floors flow through the main living room, with its renovated kitchen.

French doors link the living room to the property’s large outdoor entertainment area.

Renowned local builder Bruce Warren built the house, which displays classic features such as bay windows, herringbone polished timber floors and decorative plasterwork.

As well as formal dining and living room, the spacious layout includes a central open-plan living zone that links to both the outdoor entertainment area, another veranda and the rumpus room.

The vendors have updated the ensuite bathroom and kitchen, as well as adding new carpet, curtains and painting throughout. The refreshed kitchen is well appointed with stone benchtops, a timber island, 900mm and steam ovens, induction cooktop and a butler’s pantry.

The main bedroom, where a large bay window doubles as a quiet sitting area, is another of their favourite spaces.

An automated Japanese toilet suite is a notable feature of the renovated ensuite, which has twin basins and floor-to-ceiling tiling.

With its own bar, the rumpus room is perfect for parties.

Mrs Robert says family members essentially have their own wing when they come to stay, with the home’s office/playroom providing another breakout space should anyone need it.

The property’s large shed, which can accommodate four cars in addition to the attached double garage, was another key attraction when the couple moved in.

“The shed has got a little storage room that we have got set up as a bedroom but it can be a teen retreat,” she says.

“The garage has lots of storage so it’s perfect for boys and their toys.”

She describes the neighbourhood as a peaceful pocket which remains largely undiscovered.

“When we have tradespeople come most of them say ‘we never knew this area as here’,” she says.
