Star couple ex-Firebirds captain Kim Ravaillion and AFL star Adam Treloar are set for a financial windfall after enduring years of controversy, interstate separation and FIFO family life.
The couple, whose relationship became one of the most talked-about stories in Australian sport during the 2020 AFL trade period, are drawing a line under that turbulent era – as they prepare to cash in on the silver lining they created during their cross-state careers.

In 2020, when Ms Ravaillion returned to Queensland to restart her elite netball career after the birth of daughter Georgie, AFL team Collingwood caused major controversy when they timed her move with the release of Mr Treloar from the team.
The situation escalated into a public fallout, with the club ultimately trading him to the Western Bulldogs – though they were forced to continue paying a portion of his salary until as recently as last year to cover a gap between his existing contract and what the Bulldogs could fit under their cap.
But even as their sporting lives were dramatically being reshaped, the couple kept a steady eye on their fallback plan – accumulating a property footprint across two states – spending over $6m in four years in Brisbane on three high-end properties.

That brought to four their total properties in the Queensland capital – with Ms Ravaillion having bought two bedroom apartment herself in June 2017 for $480,000, in prime suburb Annerley just 6km from the CBD.
That unit has doubled in value in that time, with RP Data estimating it to be worth around $885,000 to as much as $983,000.
The couple are set to cash that one in, listing it for sale via Atlas Brisbane – having already sold their Carina Heights five bedroom Palm Springs style home for $2.475m – a gain of $275,000 in the two years they owned it.
They still have a four bedroom contemporary executive home in inner city Hawthorne that they bought for $1.85m in August 2021 – which is estimated to be worth as much as $3.01m today.
The Hawthorne property was the primary Brisbane base for Ms Ravaillion and daughter Georgie during her Firebirds captaincy years.

Even now, the couple haven’t stopped buying in Brisbane despite reuniting full-time in Melbourne. They snapped up their Ashgrove five bedroom character home – built in 1920 – for $2.055m in February last year. It’s already stacked on as much as $400,000 in value in just over a year, according to RP Data estimates.
Now, with Ms Ravaillion retired from netball and settled into post-playing life coaching in Melbourne, selling off the Brisbane properties at record prices would be the final seal on a fractured yet lucrative chapter for the star sports pair.
