Records show Harkaway’s existing $14.3m house price record was set by a five-bedroom house on a 9.11ha land parcel at 194-204 King Rd, in 2022.
The Hilden Drive house has six bedrooms including the main bedroom complete with walk-in wardrobes and an ensuite.
Marshall White director Ben Vieth said the abode’s owner had purchased the land almost three decades ago.
They later commissioned CATT Architects and Visioneer Builders to create the mansion showcasing materials such as rammed earth, timber cladding and stone tiles.
The house is the brainchild of CATT Architects and Visioneer Builders.
The kitchen is fitted with V-ZUG and Sub-Zero appliances.
The automated and heated swimming pool sits next to a pavilion with a bathroom, gym and recreation room.
Mr Vieth said the property offered plenty of privacy thanks to its long tree-lined driveways, while the windows frame peaceful views of the surrounding trees and greenery.
“The closer you get, you feel the presence of this incredibly well-built home,” he said.
“Every window that you look out, it looks like a still image of a piece of art.”
The indoor horseriding arena is the perfect place for a canter.
Harkaway is 39km south east of Melbourne’s CBD, with access to the city via the M1 Freeway or Heatherton and Wellington roads.
The house was designed to showcase panoramas of the landscaped gardens.
Along with an indoor and outdoor arenas, the horseriding facilities include four stables, a tack room, sheds and a wash-down area.
“And then on top of that the land holding that it sits on has 360 degree views of some of the best aspects of the region,” Mr Vieth said.
“Everywhere you look, you’re surrounded by nature and rolling hills and sunsets.”
There’s multiple external and internal entertainment spaces to enjoy in addition to a kitchen equipped with V-ZUG and Sub-Zero appliances, plus a butler’s pantry.
A guest powder room, mud room and laundry are also on offer.
One of the entertainers’ spaces with spectacular views of the surrounding hills.
A combined library and music room.
The residence is close to schools like Haileybury College, St Margaret’s Berwick Grammar and Nossal High School.
Mr Vieth said the house would suit a family, tree-changers or keen equestrians, although the horseriding set-up could be converted for a variety of other uses.
The home is for sale via expressions of interest.
