A luxury Sovereign Islands property complete with a cinema and 10-car basement has sold at auction for $5m

Two registered bidders fought it out for the keys to 12 Royal Albert Crescent which went under the hammer through Amir Prestige Group’s Mitch Booth.

“We had buyer interest from Mermaid Waters, Sorrento, Sovereign Islands, Melbourne and Brisbane,” Mr Booth said.

“The two bidders were a recent seller on Hedges Ave and a Sovereign local.”

The Sovereign Islands local ended up triumphant, placing the knockout bid.

Mr Booth said he received four offers throughout the four-week marketing campaign.

“There are eight properties for sale in the street with most on the market for 120+ days,” he said.

“This sold at auction in 28 days showcasing the benefits of a deadline campaign.”

The five-bedroom home includes a 1004 sq m floor plan spread across three levels.

The highest sale price on the Sovereign Islands is $20m for 7-13 King Arthurs Court — billionaire Clive Palmer bought the property in 2020.

Mr Palmer is also behind the highest residential sale on the Gold Coast after splashing $28m last year on a beachfront property in Mermaid Beach.
