Records are made to be broken.
In 2017, Sandy Bay’s historic Sentosa set the benchmark for the highest sale price for a single Tasmanian home.
Now, following an extensive renovation, this iconic property is primed to launch Hobart home prices into the stratosphere.
No.650 Sandy Bay Rd, Sandy Bay is owned by Piers Dawson-Damer and his partner Kim.
Forbes Global Properties directors, Tracey Atkins and Robert Fletcher, have listed the property with a $15m price guide.
They said Sentosa represents a rare convergence of history, scale and enduring waterfront prestige.

Ms Atkins described the renovation and restoration of the home by the current owners as “magnificent”.
“They have excellent vision and taste,” she said.
“Their carefully considered and executed refurbishment has created a property that matches refined contemporary design with the home’s heritage character.
“They have brought the period detail of the home into focus.
“It is also technologically advanced. It would work as a grand second home for people that spend time between Hobart and larger cities like Sydney.”

Mr Fletcher said they expect Sentosa to attract global inquiries, alongside local and interstate buyers of super-premium property.
Mr Fletcher said high-end Tasmanian properties are always popular.
“People see it as a place to breathe, a beautiful haven,” he said.
“Sentosa’s owners are selling for family reasons with their children now grown up … they feel it is time to pass the baton to the next family.”
