The ex-wife of a famous property developer. now a successful investor in her own right, has listed her Bondi Beach penthouse with breathtaking ocean views for auction.

Sarah Rothwell, previously married to Winten Property Group director David Rothwell, has a $7.75m-$8.5m guide for a March 7 auction via William Manning of McGrath Pyrmont for the property.

Rothwell had bought the 251sqm spread three-bedroom, three-bathroom spread with double parking at 14/102-106 Campbell Pde, Bondi Beach for $4.4m in 2018.

At the time, Manning had had a $60m sales spree over the month, including the $29m sale of James Packer’s Bondi Beach bachelor pad, which was the Australasian coastal record for many years.

The penthouse offers 251sqm of living space.


The Bondi Beach penthouse had been a money spinner for Rothwell, who’d collected $5k a week on the permanent rental market and between $15k and $20k a week short-term, thanks to its prominent beachfront position.

The versatile floorplan flows out to outdoor settings, including a breathtaking beachfront terrace.

There are rain showers in the luxurious ensuites and the kitchen features high-end appliances and a buffet counter.

Rothwell, who resides in Palm Beach, also owns a $10.5m sub-penthouse in the Top of the Town development in Darlinghurst.

And she sold a two-bedder at 7/70 Campbell Pde, Bondi Beach for $4,625,000 last March.
