This newly built Mediterranean-style home brings a touch of Santorini to Coburg.
The previous home at 84 Rose St was knocked down last year, and in its place now stands a four-bedroom, two-bathroom luxury residence.
Owner Abraham Saad says the property is a product of his premier local building company, Ascon, the renowned Sydney architect Dezcon and Davis Built Carpentry.
“We wanted a Mediterranean-style home, one that would feel like you’re at a resort,” he says.
“Dezcon designed the home to this brief, with curved features throughout.”
The home’s exteriors feature the trademark sculptural curves that extend to the windows and shape of the heated swimming pool, while sweeping arches, curved benchtops and round downlights define the interior.

The four-bedroom house at 84 Rose St, Coburg, has been listed for sale.

The indoor-outdoor living space also embraces a Mediterranean vibe, with an open-plan layout that maximises the use of northern sunlight.
“This was an intentional decision and something that is a highlight of the home,” says Saad.
“Ascon and Davis Built Carpentry worked closely together to incorporate the Mediterranean style through materials and fixtures, including the Venetian walls, curved plaster, bronze fittings, herringbone laid engineered European oak floors, Calacatta Viola stone surfaces, LA Palm bricks and the tiled mosaics around the pool,” he adds.
Luxurious features including high-end Smeg kitchen appliances, under-floor heating, a wet room-style bathroom with a soaker tub, an outdoor shower and a plumbed outdoor barbecue kitchen further enhance the property’s resort-style.
“There are earthy tones throughout – from the flooring, benches, walls, lighting and brushed bronzed fixtures and fittings – a colour palette that further brings the design to life,” says Saad.

The master bedroom features a fully fitted dressing room.
Best suited to a downsizer or small family, Saad says, the home offers resort-style living while remaining practical and functional, with four bedrooms, including a master with a fully fitted dressing room; two living areas; an alarm system; motorised sheet curtains; and an EV charger in the garage.
“I always build a home that I’d want to live in,” Saad says.
While the home itself offers quality living for potential buyers, its location is also a major drawcard.
“It’s zoned to Strathmore Secondary School and is walking distance to everything – public transport, amenities and close to CityLink and Sydney Rd,” says Saad.
The home will be auctioned, but a date has not been set.
