39 Ruddick Cct, Stuart Park, is a high-end smart home less than a decade old, up for sale in one of Darwin’s most sought-after spots.

A fully decked-out smart home is going to market in one of Darwin’s hottest suburbs, offering a rare chance to snag a premium house that’s only eight years old.

The five-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 39 Ruddick Cct, Stuart Park, was built in 2018 and recently updated by owner Drew Miller and his family.

“When I first saw it and bought it back in 2023,” he said, “I just immediately walked in and said ‘I gotta have this’.

The five-bedroom home was kitted out with a modern living design, and owner Drew Miller felt he bought it for a bargain in 2023.

“I wish I could pack it up and take it back to Melbourne … I certainly won’t be living in anything this luxurious back there.”

The house’s contemporary facade sits across 535 sqm of land, and contains a modern home purpose-built for large, versatile living.

Spread across four storeys, the ground floor of the house includes an entirely self-contained suite: complete with a guest bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, along with its own personal entrance.

With four floors across 535 sqm of land, the house can fit a range of family members and guests – with the ground floor able to be used as a guest suite or rented out.

Mr Miller said the guest suite was perfect for an owner to rent out, and the family used it themselves to house Mr Miller’s father during interstate trips.

“We’ve had up to eight people here at any one time,” he said.

“The fully self-contained set up downstairs was ideal … [my dad] had lift access to come up and enjoy the rest of the family whenever he liked.”

Lift access connects each floor to one another, with the first floor containing three bedrooms and a lounge space for residents to relax after a long day.

Wi-Fi controlled smart home features are built in throughout the property, and the home’s new solar panelling upgrade massively reduced its energy bill.

Up on the second floor, the living area spreads out into massive open-floor plan: complete with a designer kitchen and expansive balcony to admire the Darwin views.

The master suite has the third floor all to itself, offering an ensuite bathroom, walk-in wardrobe and private balcony overlooking the harbour.

Smart features across the home include remote-control blinds and glass louvres, a concealed television in the main living area and an adjustable infinity pool in the backyard.

The second and third floors offer wide balconies overlooking everything Darwin has to offer.

Mr Miller said he was impressed at how many smart features the home had, having recently upgraded both the pool and the solar panelling systems.

“Everything’s Wi-Fi controlled,” he said, “[and] my power bills are probably about 75 per cent reduced from when I first bought the property.”

With the Millers moving back down to Melbourne, Mr Miller said he would miss the home dearly, and had been blown away by the online response to the campaign.

Expressions of interest on the property are open with Ray White Darwin until June 22.

“Some of the comments are unbelievable,” he said. “You feel proud, but at the same time you wish you could stay.

“I think I’m gonna choke when I walk out the door for the last time, that’s for sure. It’ll be very emotional.”

The home is up for sale with Andrew Harding and Evie Radonich of Ray White Darwin, with expressions of interest closing on June 22.
