The bottom of the Cairns house market is now on par with the 2020 median house price as buyers struggle to find a detached dwelling for sale for less than $500,000.
The latest PropTrack market report showed the Cairns median house price had shot up more than 60 per cent in the past five years to sit at $695,000 in September.
In September 2025, the median house price in Cairns was sitting at $427,000.
A look through realestate.com.au revealed just two houses for sale below the $500,000 price point in Cairns, and only a handful under $600,000.
