The Darling Point harbour estate has a guide of $36m.

Media executive and businessman Hamish McLennan and his wife Lucinda have listed their luxury Darling Point mansion with a $36m guide, intending to downsize.

Ray White Double Bay principal Elliott Placks, who has the listing with his colleague Ashley Bierman, are expecting the four-bedroom, five-bathroom landmark harbour estate with double garage to be popular.

“We’ve had it active online for a week and inquiry has been very strong,” Mr Placks says.

“This weekend we’ve got our first open and we’re expecting some really good engagement from the market.

“It offers a turn-key house in an incredible location.”

Past roles have included the chairman of Rugby Australia and the CEO of Network Ten.

The couple had purchased the property for $29.25m in 2023 from Olympic gold medallist-turned-recruitment boss Mark Kerry, and his interior designer wife, Lynda, who’d done a major transformation.

Lynda Kerry had worked with acclaimed architect Andrew Barnyak on the project, which reportedly took three years and cost about $7m.
