“Radiator man” Kees Weel, a Dutch immigrant in the 1950s who’s gone on to create a $1bn business providing cooling solutions, and partner Sharon Mason, are selling their Northern Rivers retreat.

Weel, founder of PWR Holdings, an advanced cooling technology that supplies cooling equipment for all the cars on the F1 grid, and Mason, paid $5.7m for the New Brighton property in 2022.

It is one of only three properties that have sold for over $5m in New Brighton, with the other two being homes on acreage.

Weel and Mason’s property, on an elevated 1540sq m near the beach, pitched as one of the largest in New Brighton, has had just four owners over 120 years.

The home has three bedrooms, several outdoor deck areas, and a lawn which offers direct access to the New Brighton Beach, northwest of Ocean Shores.
