Over 800 real estate agents from small operations to mega franchises came together last night for the 2025 REIQ Awards for Excellence.

Held at the Brisbane Showgrounds, the awards, now in its 34th year, span 30 categories including residential sales, property management, commercial, buyers’ agency, auctioneering, business broking, as well as community contribution, multimedia, and innovation.

REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella said the awards night was a highlight on the real estate calendar.

“The REIQ Awards for Excellence are a true reflection of the professionalism, skill, dedication and passion that define our profession,” Mercorella said.

“Taking home an REIQ Award is the profession’s highest honour in Queensland, and the fierce competition and rigorous judging process means this recognition is well-deserved.

“It recognises not only outstanding achievement but a deep commitment to upholding the standards that build community trust in real estate professionals.”

Mercorella said this year’s event captured the spirit of camaraderie and pride that continues to define the REIQ membership community.

“It was inspiring to look around the room and see so many high achievers united by shared values and a passion for raising the bar,” she said.

“Our winners and finalists are trailblazers – they’re not only achieving success for their clients and businesses but also helping to shape the future of our profession.”

One of the most popular and highly anticipated awards is Residential Salesperson of the Year, which was claimed this year by Tristan Rowland from Bright Estate Agents (formerly Stone Real Estate Aspley).
