A collector’s prized suite of original David Bromley artworks valued at about $100,000 will be included in the sale of a bold gallery-inspired Gold Coast penthouse.

The contemporary double-storey apartment crowning the Greenwich tower on Chevron Island is marketed by Pezet Matheson agents, Mitchell Lambert and Joseph Pimentel, and goes under the hammer on April 16.

Owner Tamra Lunn purchased the three-bedroom, three-bathroom skyhome at 1601/1 Aruma St, Surfers Paradise off the plan about four years ago and curated its light-filled spaces to reflect her quirky style.

Ms Lunn’s spectacular collection of Bromley works was born out of a personal connection to the renowned Australian artist, who even painted her son, Charlie.

“All the Bromleys are going with the penthouse,” she said, counting four original paintings and a statue of a boy holding a pipe.

Ms Lunn, a registered nurse specialising in plastic and cosmetic surgery at Southport Day Hospital, said she applied the same “attention to detail and aim for perfection” to her home as she did her work.

Rejecting the coastal-standard neutral palette, Ms Lunn adorned the 230sqm unit with striking pop-art influences and high-end European furniture from Space Furniture and Cult Design.

“I see a lot of beige places, and I think they all look the same,” she said.

“I love the feeling of spaciousness where everything you look at is easy of the eye. It’s fun, it’s different.”

Statement pieces add to the home’s vibrant, HOTA-inspired feel, including a Jonathan Adler “boob vase” that took three months to source, a limited-edition Porsche coffee machine, a Campbell’s Soup dress on display, and a whimsical chandelier of a trapeze artist, handwoven from fine wire.

“It is the excitement of the chase, to then look at it and think, ‘I own that’,” Ms Lunn said.

The property commands sweeping views across Main River to the Surfers Paradise skyline and Pacific Ocean.

The apartment has three bedrooms and three bathrooms

Features include 4m-high ceilings on the lower level, a dramatic 7m expanse of glass over the stairwell, a designer kitchen fitted with V-ZUG appliances, engineered oak flooring, a built-in study nook, and main-level master bedroom with a sleek ensuite and large walk-in robe.

Adding to its more unique inclusions is an integrated aquarium housing three fish named Lily, Layla, and Lucy.

While the Bromley collection, chandelier, and heavy white goods are locked into the sale, Ms Lunn said the rest of her eclectic imported furniture was up for negotiation.

“I am happy to just pick up my keys and leave,” she said.

“I think it would be great if someone liked it enough to say, ‘I will take it as is’.”

Resident amenities including an outdoor pool and dining area are located on the same level as the penthouse, while it also comes with two secure basement car spaces.

PropTrach data shows apartment prices in Surfers Paradise were up 5.6 per cent over the past 12 months, to a median of $1.425m.
