In addition to Point Cook, Wyndham includes suburbs such as Werribee, Hoppers Crossing, Tarneit, Truganina and Wyndham Vale.

Established Property director Fadi Saad the Greg Norman Drive house features a
tennis court, pool and pool pavilion containing a kitchenette and powder room, cinema room, entertainment room with a wet bar, limestone flooring and a home office.
The courtyard with a wood-fired pizza oven, barbecue and pond, designed by landscape design business COS Design’s Steve Taylor and constructed by landscape designer Christian Jenkins, won a 2012 Victorian Landscape Award.
Television commercials and the Channel 10 crime comedy television series Mr and Mrs Murder starring actors Shaun Micallef and Kat Stewart have been filmed at the home.
The 2009sq m property offers uninterrupted views across the Sanctuary Lakes golf course designed by the Australian golfing legend Greg Norman.
The house has hosted catwalk shows and fashion shoots on behalf of one of its previous owners, who works in the textile industry.
Shaun Micallef and Kat Stewart in the television show Mr and Mrs Murder, which filmed scenes at the house.
The house is located within a gated area of the Sanctuary Lakes estate.
Mr Saad declined to comment on the house’s sold price but industry sources indicated it fetched $4.75m.
However, Mr Saad said most of the interested buyers were from Melbourne although a NSW-based purchaser flew in to inspect the home.
But it was a buyer from the US, originally from Australia, who emerged as the new owner.
Mr Saad said the buyer had also been looking in suburbs such as Templestowe and Doncaster but had been won over by the Point Cook home, especially its entertainers’ set-up.
“I think it was the whole lifestyle element that was on offer, the pool, the resort-style aspect, the gated community, the privacy factor, the size and scale of the accommodation available,” Mr Saad added.
The living areas include a formal lounge room, dining room and entertainment room with a wet bar.
The house is named Solara, a word of Latin origin meaning of the sun, because of how calm and light-filled it is.
The entertainers’ set-up is top-notch.
He noted that it was rare for American-based buyers to shop for homes in Point Cook.
“I have dealt with many home buyers from overseas but they’re not often from the US,” he said.
Mr Saad said Point Cook offered fantastic value for people seeking large homes with resort-style features, as demonstrated by this latest sake.
“It shows the market is ripe for this type of property and people are seeking that lifestyle element at a fair market price compared to what is on the other side of town,” he said.
