It was a case of love at first sight for Sherren Jeffery and William Forte when they bought their Victor Harbor property nearly six years ago.
The couple have since placed their own touch on it, transforming the property at 30 Swains Crossing Rd into a home befitting its incredible location.
Ms Jeffery, who has long had a passion for Africa and personally funds a school for 280 children in Kenya, said it was love at first sight when they saw the home.

“I just fell in love the moment I drove in the gate – the garden and the ducks swimming in the pond, it was absolutely beautiful,” Ms Jeffery says.
“Those views are amazing – if you’re sitting in the spa on a moonlit night, because it’s a glass atrium, you’ve got the shadows on the trees and the moon beaming in on the bubbling water.

“I can look through the trees back down to Granite Island and at night you’ve got the sparkling lights of Victor Harbor – it’s incredible.”
The home has five bedrooms, a billiards room, an open-plan kitchen and family room, formal lounge and dining rooms and an in-ground pool, spa and covered entertaining area in its own pavilion Ms Jeffery say has been a hit at many parties.

“We’ve had major birthday parties and parties in the garden and then everyone’s ended up in the pool or the spa, and there’s so much accommodation so lots of people stay but you’re never on top of each other.”
With the couple moving to Adelaide to be closer to their grandchildren, Ms Jeffery says the time has come for someone else to enjoy it.
“The build quality is incredible – if you were going to build that standard of home now – if you could even find someone to build it – I can’t imagine what that build cost would be,” she said.
