Vendor Joanne Bowe was a new resident of Darwin, and had been seeking a home to live in when she stumbled upon 37 Haultain Cres, Durack.
The owner of 37 Haultain Cres, Durack, fell in love with it at first sight, buying it the day the listing went online.
Ms Bowe said she was charmed by the four-bedroom, two-bathroom home the moment she saw it, and bought it the same day the listing went live.
“I looked at a few around the area,” she said, “But this house is different to everything we looked at … I think it took 30 minutes for [the agent] to sell this house to me.”
Built in 2014, the home was designed with a single-floor design, allowing ease of access for residents of all ages.

While Ms Bowe was the main owner, she said the house was a way to give her family a communal space they could visit and stay in whenever they liked.
“My daughter took my grandson to the childcare centre four houses away,” she said. “My son came up for a few months … I’ve had my sisters, my dad, and lots of other people come to stay. That’s why I wanted a big house.”
