Aussie golden couple Genevieve and Ryan Gregson have passed the baton on their first family home as they race towards making Olympic history.
The Olympic track stars have sold their beautifully finished Queenslander property as Ms Gregson eyes a historic fifth Olympic Games appearance at Los Angeles 2028.
The 36-year-old parents of two made the move to be closer to training facilities on a sprawling property with room for their young family to grow.

Their four-bedroom, three-bathroom character home at 108 Kates St, Morningside was listed for offers over $1.9m with Sam Battel of McGrath Bulimba. The sale price was not released while the contract remained conditional.
The couple, dubbed ‘Mr and Mrs. Athletics’, has six Games bids between them.
Ms Gregson is a four-time Olympian and former national steeplechase record holder who reached two finals at Rio 2016 before pivoting to the marathon at Paris 2024.
Two-time Olympian Mr Gregson became the first Australian man in 40 years to make the 1500m final at Rio 2016, also since switching to marathons.

They took a pragmatic approach to selling in a softer market, in sharp contrast to snapping up their “COVID escape” from Melbourne at a tense auction in late 2021.
While well-versed in the intense pressure of elite sports, Ms Gregson admits she froze during the frantic, peak-market bidding war.
“I find auctions just so nerve-wracking,” she said. “Even though I’m the one in our relationship who does all the finance and accounting, I crumbled on auction day.
“In the end, it came down to just a $1,000 difference. To this day, I’m so grateful we pushed for it because it has been a really lovely start for our family.”
Records show they paid $1.641m for the property.

This time around, the pair bypassed the auction room to meet the market.
“Character homes suit an auction because buyers are led by their hearts, but it is just not an auction market at this time,” Ms Gregson said.
“We are willing to negotiate, take the best offer we get, and accept what this climate is offering to move onto the next chapter.”
Their initial move to Brisbane followed a devastating Achilles rupture for the Gold Coast-born Ms Gregson at the Tokyo Games.

Since then, she has welcomed two boys, Archer, 4, and Alfred, 1, and credits motherhood for her renewed focus.
“Before, I was just a selfish athlete, which you need to be, but now the priority is the kids,” she said.
“It has been a nice break to shift that perspective. It took away the intense pressure of results, and becoming a mother has only elevated my performance.”
While Ms Gregson’s sights are firmly set on becoming the first Australian track athlete in her field to achieve five Olympic selections, family remains top priority.
“I am aware of my age, and I would be so sad if I put my family on hold to chase a dream I may not get.
“Family is forever and has brought me so much more joy than any running achievement.”
