Olympic swimming legend Ian Thorpe has listed his luxury home for a November 7 auction.
Thorpe, 42, has owned the four-bedroom townhouse in the exclusive enclave of Woollahra’s prestigious Ocean Street since December 2017, when records show he bought it for $2.75m.
Ray White Double Bay director Warren Ginsberg and his colleague, Jordan Lestrange, have a $3.5m guide.
The property passed in at auction on a $3.95m vendor bid last September when listed with other agents, but Ginsberg advises the current guide is in line with market conditions. Thorpe bought a pad for $2.79m in Edgecliff last November and his former home has been rented out for $1850 per week.
Thorpe, who retired in 2016, won five Olympic gold medals, the second most won by any Australian after fellow swimmer Emma McKeon.
