NRL star Pat Carrigan might be off his game on the field, but he’s on the ball when it comes to property.

The Broncos forward has been busy renovating one of his Gold Coast pads, recently revealing some of the Palm Spring-style changes he has made to the ‘70s three-bedder.

Brisbane Broncos player Pat Carrigan has renovated this Burleigh Waters house he purchased in 2024.

The 28-year-old paid $1.61m for the mid-century-style, brick home on a 613 sqm lot in Burleigh Waters in 2024 and has made some serious updates since.

Speaking to radio and weather personality Luke Bradnam on social media, Carrigan revealed changes to the pool house and back of the house, including installing new doors from Bradnams Windows and Doors.

“The pool’s about the only thing in the same position,” Carrigan says.

The renovation includes new French doors with side louvres that break up the back wall and allow the bedrooms to open out to the freshly landscaped pool and yard, and wide, stacker doors in the pool house which has been finished with stained ply walls.

Carrigan said the white frames of the doors were a nice contrast against the exposed brick of the home.

He’ll have more time to enjoy the improvements since being hit with a grade two careless high tackle charge and offered a two-match stint on the sidelines after Friday night’s game. He’ll get a third if he fights the charge and loses.

His absence is yet another blow for Brisbane, who are already without Ben Hunt and Reece Walsh for an extended period due to injury.

Last year, he bought another three-bedroom house in Burleigh Heads for $1.3m, which was last asking for $1150 a week in rent.

The renovated three-bedroom, two-bathroom house sits on a whopping 1900 sqm.

The Queensland Origin star, touted as a future Brisbane Broncos captain, also owns a three-bedroom, post-war house on a 607 sqm block in the Brisbane suburb of Holland Park that he purchased for $640,000 in 2019.

Clearly a fan of the Glitter Strip, Carrigan spends his time outside of training catching waves at Nobby Beach.
