Century 21, Compass, Douglas Elliman and other real estate industry brands made moves during the past week.
Every day, Inman gets a slew of announcements about big teams and industry leaders making moves from one company to another. It’s more than we can cover!
So, here are some of the biggest announcements from recent days:
Century 21
Century 21 Circle has expanded into Michigan with the Kelley Real Estate Group, led by Felicia Kelley, Kyle Kelley and Rachael Austin. The Kelley Real Estate Group serves Sparta, a town within the Grand Rapids metroplex. Century 21 Circle operates throughout the Midwest and Florida. It is one of the franchisor’s top 10 companies worldwide, with annual sales of $1.6 billion.
“This isn’t just growth for us — it’s momentum,” C21 Circle CEO Melissa Archer-Wirtz said. “We’re very deliberate about where we go and who we partner with, and Michigan has always been part of the bigger picture.”
Compass
Milwaukee-based Luvene Realty Group has joined Compass, closing out a three-year tenure with Keller Williams, where the team closed more than $21 million in annual sales volume. The team will operate out of Compass’s Bayside office, located near Lake Michigan.
“Joining Compass is a pivotal step in our mission to elevate the real estate experience in Milwaukee,” Luvene Realty Group founder Amerikus (Shauny) Luvene said in a statement. “The combination of the technology at Compass and our team’s deep-seated passion for this community will allow us to serve our clients and our industry with even greater impact.”
Douglas Elliman
Former Google brand development and marketing expert Areeje Akhtar Oriol has joined NYC-based luxury brokerage Douglas Elliman. Oriol will serve as CEO Michael Liebowitz’s chief of staff, helping guide the brokerage’s strategic growth initiatives.
“Douglas Elliman is one of the most recognized names in luxury real estate, and the firm is at a genuinely compelling moment in its evolution,” she said. “I’ve spent my career working at the intersection of the luxury consumer, the advisors who serve them and the platforms that enable that work. The opportunity to bring that experience to bear alongside Michael and the leadership team is one I’m incredibly energized by.”
MY New York
Coldwell Banker’s leading franchise affiliate in New York City has gone independent. Coldwell Banker Reliable Real Estate is now operating as My New York (MYNY), with offices in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Long Island.
“After 18 years in a franchise system, we made the decision to build something that actually works for New York,” MYNY Principal Joseph T. Hamdan said in a press release. “We’re shaping the company to better reflect how this market actually works, and to give serious agents a platform that fits how they operate.”
Real Brokerage
Team Jordan — an 18-member team with a lifetime sales volume of $3.6 billion — has joined Real, after more than a decade with Keller Williams Realty. Team Jordan was the top-ranked KW team in Canada, serving markets throughout Ontario.
“Lorraine [Jordan] and Team Jordan exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit and service-first mindset that defines our agent community,” Real Chief Growth Officer Jason Cassity said. “They’ve built a business rooted in education, trust and giving back, and we’re excited to support their continued growth as they bring their leadership and impact to Real.”
