Myf Warhurst has roasted Lleyton Hewitt’s former West Lakes home.
He hasn’t owned it for more than a decade, but that hasn’t stopped tennis star Lleyton Hewitt’s former West Lakes home from making the headlines again.
The sporting legend’s former 29 Martin Court home was highlighted by TV, radio and podcast star Myf Warhurst in the latest segment of her Bonkers Listings of Australia Facebook videos – even thought the property isn’t listed for sale.
She called out the property for its eccentricities – all the while with her tongue planted firmly in her cheek.
The property has long drawn both love and criticism for its bold exterior, which has been referred to by locals as looking like a stormtrooper’s helmet, and its unique interior, which is complete with a coastal mural and a grotto.
Let’s start there.
“Is that an indoor rockery slash fountain slash grotto?” Warhurst asks.
“I should hope so!
“I mean, the bringing in of the nature here is just genius, isn’t it? You could be in a rainforest if it weren’t for all that,” she says pointing at the sterile surroundings of white tiled floors, white walls and white ceilings.

“And look, you could put a hose on the tiles when you’re cleaning up after a party and that would just mimic the sound of the rainforest. I’m already there!”
Warhurst marvels at a Tuscan-esque mural before noticing another one of a man on the upper level, unwittingly pointing in the video at his groin.
“And up here we’ve, – ooh, I’ll get my finger out of there – we’ve got a man in a loincloth … or a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Hard to tell,” she says.
“He’s jacked though, isn’t he?”
We move on to the pool with its Sicilian-style mural, a kitchen she calls out as having “very
1980s, early ’90s vibes” and a living and dining area where “a bit of colour in here would look amazing.”

We come to another living space with pinball machines and a bar with Tron-inspired lighting Warhurst describes as “those lights that you see sometimes under those cars that are really low to the ground – also quite striking in a house, it seems.”
Then there’s the atrium where Warhurst spots another mural, this time of the what appears to be the Greek god Zeus, saying of the home’s unknown owner: “Our king loves a powerful man,” before cutting to the master suite with its crisply made bed: “and this is obviously our king’s workbench here.”
The spa promises a good time, Warhurst alludes: “That’s a sunken spa – that’s cuddles and bubbles and you step in for those,” she says, before suggesting there’ll be none of that carry on in the double shower, usually an intimate space, but here surprisingly divided by a glass partition.
“You can look but you can’t touch,” Warhurst says.

But it’s her take on one detail in the gym that’s probably Warhurst’s most risque for the episode – a picture of a naked woman above the door in the gym.
“Oh, hello missus!” she says noticing the bare-breasted beauty.
“No need for: ‘do you even lift? Things would be liftin’ on their own if you’re looking at that.”
Viewers were quick to point out the home’s former owner, with one responding: “If you didn’t know that this house was owned by the tennis player Leyton Hewett and his wife a few years ago and then he sold it to go and be the Davis Cup captain for the Australia team.”
Another shared Myf’s confusion re the home’s interiors.
“Adelaide gal here – yes knew it was Lleyton’s old house just from the outside! What on earth is going on inside!!” she wrote.
“Be still my beating heart! Words fail me,” another wrote.
Yet not all seemed to love the home’s unique aesthetic.
“Money can’t buy class,” they wrote.
“Why does it look like the helmet out of Space Balls movie?” another asked.
While yet another posed: “Does this bring anyone else slip-falls and cracked skull vibes? Were these people brought up in a hospital?”
But mostly the video drew comments for its tongue-in-cheek poke at how the other half live.
And they were here for it.
“Cuddles and bubbles…… I can’t stop laughing,” one said.
“I live for these vids, Myf. And I knew it was West Lakes from the get go.”
Rumours have recently swirled regarding Hewitt and his wife Bec living in separate countries, with their son Cruz saying the UK “feels like home” as the couple list their palatial Glenhaven estate they snapped up for $10.3 million in 2023, for more than $14m.
The couple were married in 2005 and have three children together – Mia, Cruz and Ava.
