9 McCutcheon Close, Mt Eliza, is Australian star Myf Warhurst’s dream 1980s-inspired abode.
Australian television and radio personality Myf Warhurst has hilariously labelled a Miami Vice-esque Melbourne party mansion the nation’s premiere 1980s-style pad.
The star of ABC’s music quiz show Spicks and Specks and a former Triple J presenter, Warhurst is also known for hosting SBS’ Eurovision Song Contest coverage alongside Joel Creasey from 2017 to 2024.
In addition to voicing the characters of Aunt Trixie and Indy’s mother in the animated children’s show Bluey, Warhurst has lately been making Australians laugh with her ‘Bonkers Listings of Melbourne’ social media videos.

Her latest property of choice is an “80s’ palace” at 9 McCutcheon Close, Mt Eliza, that’s on the market with a $2.5m-$2.7m range.
Set on 2607sq m, the house features an indoor pool pavilion with a spa and spiral staircase, plus a sauna, tennis court, three bathrooms, powder room and garage which can hold up to six cars.
Warhurst takes viewers on an online tour through the “Miami Vice” four-bedroom home, full of 1980s’ nostalgia and comedy.
She comments the indoor pool would be an ideal spot to sip Tia Maria or a fluffyduck – a cocktail popularised in the 1970s and 1980s – and try not to get your perm wet while swimming.
Don’t get your perm wet, keep ahold of your glass of Tia Maria, and pretend you’re the mermaid portrayed by Daryl Hannah in the 1984 movie Splash.

Warhurst likened the house’s arched window as similar to the famous Play School arched window. And we’re here for it.
The music journalist and podcaster highlights the glass bricks throughout and an upstairs parents’ retreat where adults of the era could watch their kids partying downstairs and “sculling Passion Pops”.
She jokes that downstairs area could be used by teenagers when they “just want to smoke bongs”.
“This is a 1980s’ marvel, I’m so into it,” she says in the clip.
The four-bedroom house itself measures 733.93sq m (79 squares) in total, or 566.7sq m (61 squares) of purely interior space.
All rich people love a sauna, Warhurst says. Facts.

The kitchen is a bit more ‘90s in style, but you could still whip up a cob loaf dip or apricot chicken, no worries.
Element Estate Agents’ Jonathan Rivett, who has the listing, said Warhurst’s video had put a smile on his face.
“She definitely picked up on the entertaining vibe of the house, clearly whoever built it had entertaining in mind and built it for that,” Mr Rivett said.
“You could have 150 people there for a party and make it work well.”
Mr Rivett pointed to the downstairs rumpus room with a gas fire, which opens to the tennis court and outdoors, as an ideal entertainers’ hub.
The room’s other end opens to a living room with a bar, with the indoor pool beyond it.
Parents of the 1980s could have sat up here while smoking Alpine cigarettes and watching their children party, Warhurst says, while the kids would have been drinking Passion Pops.
Warhurst was won over by this geometric, ‘80s-style gem of a window.
Mr Rivett said although the house was built circa-1990, it definitely has 1980s’ vibes.
Some buyers were hoping to modernise the residence further while others wanted to embrace its eighties aesthetic, he added.
The property has been inspected by older and young couples, as well as families including multi-generational groups.
Mr Rivett said he hoped Warhurst would also visit.
“She’s welcome to come and have an inspection, I’ll even shout her a Tia Maria or a fluffyduck,” he said.
