A Mount Martha home atop a cascading 2214sq m property offers elegant and opulent living against the panoramic views over Port Phillip Bay.

The vendor, Hilten Sawhney, bought the six-bedroom 27 Bradford Rd home as a 50th birthday present for his wife, Rits, saying he fell in love with the property instantly and even named it after her.

“Her name is proudly signed at the entrance,” he says.

Sawhney says his family have used the property as their summer beach retreat.

“We have a large family with grown-up adults, our son being 28 and daughter 25, and their partners all meet here on long weekends and long summer breaks,” he says.

Set across about 60 squares, both levels of the home feature soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that capture the natural light.

“The great thing about this property is the light that enters and captures the breathtaking views,” Sawhney says.

While the views are undoubtedly spectacular, it is the vast array of features, including an outdoor area with a fully gassed barbecue kitchen, a selection of terraces, separate entertainment studio, a wine cellar, six-car garage, a 12m salt-chlorinated pool and a wet bar, that truly brings the wow factor to this property.

“This property will suit a family that loves to entertain and enjoys ocean views, with all the facilities of a five-star resort,” Sawhney says.

“There is a separate yoga retreat in the back garden area, which has now been converted into a relaxing lounge/party area with a custom-made onyx bar and stone finishes and a top-level balcony alfresco, with amazing views of Port Phillip Bay and the city lights at night.”

Additionally, Sawhney says the outdoor boasts “fine manicured kikuyu grass and lovely landscapes to suit”.

“The rock aspect ponds leading to the back winter garden and fire pit, as well as the fountain, add to the Zen feel of the landscape,” he says.

Inside, the kitchen further enhances the entertainment factor with stone benchtops, a butler’s pantry, cocktail station and a suite of stainless-steel appliances.

A choice of formal and informal dining rooms offers options for different occasions.
