3 White Lodge Court, Donvale could sell for more than $10m.

A lavish mansion with its own hairdressing salon in the heart of Donvale has hit the market.

The five-bedroom house at 3 White Lodge Court, which spans more than 4000sq m, has a $9.3m-$10.23m price tag.

Luxurious features of the abode include its cocktail room, library, gym, home office, 10-person sauna, cinema, tennis court, pool, spa and a hair salon.

The seller said the property’s design was a cumulation of ideas from houses he’d visited, the homes his friends had built, and what he’d seen overseas.

“It’s a very, very large home on grand scale and something that accommodates family; especially around the eastern suburbs, there is nothing like it. It’s very modern,” he said.

“The attention to detail on this home is just phenomenal. I’m very, very proud of what we’ve done.”

He added that the hair salon and other rare inclusions to the property were considered in the build to cater to all the needs of a large family.

CoreLogic records show the seller purchased the property in March 2008 for $1.02m and began developing the new residence in October 2014.

RT Edgar Manningham director James Hatzolos said mansions like this rarely hit the market.

“It’s a very, very rare opportunity for any buyer wanting to buy a luxury home that offers you this high-end level of living that’s under seven years old,” Mr Hatzolos said.

“(The seller) had a dream home that he wanted to build and he designed it and brought it to reality.”

He said one of the major drawcards of the home was that it was on an acre of land but it was a fairly low maintenance block.

Mr Hatzolos added that it had an outstanding alfresco entertaining area with charcoal and gas barbecues as well as the pool house with a sauna and change room.

“It’s like a mini resort,” he said.

The grand foyer away from the double staircase leads to the open-plan living zone with a dining area, kitchen, butler’s pantry and a wine room.

The main suite has its own balcony, dressing room, ensuite and gas fireplace, on the same floor as the other four expansive bedrooms.
