IF money is no obstacle, and a rental is the preference over buying a property, these homes might be the most luxurious options in Tasmania.

There are currently five rental listings on realestate.com.au that are asking $1000 per week, or more.

That is about double the amount of Hobart’s median prices for a house, $550 per week, or a unit, $465 per week, according to PropTrack’s latest figures.

Unsurprisingly, Sandy Bay houses dominate the list, but there is also a Hobart city penthouse and a homestead in wine country.
