The Wentworth Estate in Newport has a $30m guide.
The former neighbour of Aussie model Jennifer Hawkins, who currently lives next door to Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes, is planning on breaking the seclusion of a Sydney’s northern beaches property in a $30 million sell off plan.
It is the first time it has been listed in 30 years.
The value of the property is in the size, 6722sqm, and privacy of the deep waterfront land. Belle Property Northern Beaches has the listing and has plans for four potential blocks, each on the water, and each around 1430sqm, subject to council approval.
The plan would reduce the once-private property to include more neighbours in the celebrity suburb.
Widely regarded as one of the finest waterfront holdings on Pittwater, the Newport estate was the former home of the late Billy Wentworth, the NSW Liberal politician and minister who held the northern beaches seat of Mackellar from 1949-1977.
He was the great-grandson of William Charles Wentworth who led the expedition across the Blue Mountains and who was a leading statesman in early NSW colonial history. He founded the first independent newspaper and championed press freedom, universal education and trial by jury.

Jen Hawkins and Jake Wall bought two blocks from the edge of the estate in 2014 and built a new home, which they sold to Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes in 2020 for $24.5m.
The old estate once occupied the entire pocket along Prince Alfred Pde in Newport but over the years blocks of land were sold off. Most notable, Hawkins and her builder husband Jake Wall bought two blocks from the edge of the estate in 2014 for $4m and created Casa Paloma.
Their four-level home on the 3361sqm waterfront block then sold for $24.5m to Cannon-Brookes in 2020.
But this is the first time in more than 30 years that the main house itself has come up for sale.
There are still tiered sandstone walls dating back to the 1800s however the existing house is more recent, only about 50 years old and has no heritage status.
The existing home on the estate has no heritage status and is only about 50 years old.
It has extraordinary views.
Agent Greg Griffin said in more than 25 years of selling real estate he has never come across a better waterfront holding.
“This is a once-in-a-generation offering combining history, land and an irreplaceable deep-water lifestyle,” he said.
“It is further distinguished as the only property in this tightly held enclave to include a private jetty and boat pen,” he added.
The elegant four-bedroom, four-bathroom home has several living zones, sandstone terraces and a swimming pool. According to property records it last traded in 1994 for $3.05m and is owned by the late Dr Yvonne Holcombe.
The Wentworth Estate, on Prince Alfred Pde, Newport is for sale by expressions of interest and the guide is $30m.
