An iconic Glenelg mansion, owned by the founders of gourmet cracker company Tucker’s Natural, is expected to smash property records along the entire Adelaide coastline and sell for more than $10.5m.
Marketed as “Glenelg’s most prestigious seaside mansion’’, the six-star resort-style estate at 6 Robert St has attracted international attention, drawing interest even from those who previously had no intentions to buy, said selling agent Simon Noakes, director of Noakes Nickolas.
“It will set a record along the whole (Adelaide) coast, including the Esplanade,’’ Mr Noakes said.
“We’re looking at (receiving offers) in the double digits – $10.5m to $12.5m.
“It’s an iconic property where people who weren’t even considering buying are going to be buyers.
“This property has had three generations through it and it’s never come to an open market.
It’s likely (after the sale) it will be another generational property for another 100 years and it
won’t be offered again.’’

The home is owned by Tucker's Natural founders, Sam and Cindy Tucker.
The current benchmark for coastal Adelaide homes is $6.987m, set last May with the sale of
19 Cygnet Court, Glenelg North, a five-bedroom, six-bathroom waterfront home set on
660sqm.
The Tucker home has almost three times that landholding – 1719sqm – and is located on one of the area’s most prestigious streets, a short distance from Glenelg beach.
Originally built in the 1890s, it features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, as well as grand open living, dining and entertaining areas, and is fully automated and equipped with the latest integrated appliances and underfloor heating.
Sam and Cindy Tucker, the founders of artisan crackers and snack company Tucker’s Natural, acquired the home from Mr Tucker’s father after his mother died in 2020 and embarked on a dramatic transformation, with a modern second-storey extension that offers breathtaking views of the Adelaide Hills.
They installed a three-lane 25-metre heated lap pool with an integrated 12-person spa and a sauna and replaced the original grass tennis court with synthetic turf.

Mr Tucker, who is moving with his wife and three boys to Queensland to progress the children’s swimming and surf lifesaving achievements, said visitors to the home were “gobsmacked’’ by its beauty.
“We’re humble about it because (owning the home) has been an opportunity presented to us through family but we have absolutely made the most of it and we’ve invested heavily into it as well,’’ he said.
“It’s a beautiful fusion of that historic heritage, which we tastefully restored, and that slightly more minimalist modern kind-of twist as well.
“It’s a real masterpiece.’’

Mr Tucker, who will travel back to South Australia regularly to oversee Tucker’s Natural, which is based at Seaton, said he would miss the property immensely but was keen to give his children the best chance of becoming professional water sport athletes.
“We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves but I know the youngest … would love to represent Australia in open water swimming; the middle one is on the edge of (deciding between) open water and those middle-distance pool events and the oldest is 100 per cent (into) surf lifesaving,’’ he said.
“Now’s the time to really back them (by moving to Queensland to) give them the best
opportunity (to improve their skills) and see what they can do.’’
Offers for the home close on Monday, May 5.
