Former mayor Darryn Lyons ran his business out of 1 Toorak Pde, Geelong, right next door to his waterfront mansion.
Former Geelong mayor Darryn Lyons’ Aussie property sell-off continues with the listing of a multimillion-dollar waterfront home he used as an office.
The paparazzo is asking $2.2m-$2.4m for the four-bedroom house at 1 Toorak Pde, Geelong.
The 726sq m property is next door to his stately residence ‘Lyons View’ fronting The Esplanade, which is also on the market for $6.7m to $7.3m.

Though not as grand as its seven-bedroom neighbour, Lyons’ former business base does come with a bar, sunken lounge, swimming pool and putting green.
Buxton agent David Gray is handling the sale of both properties, which can be purchased separately or together.
He said the Toorak Pde home was in need of an internal refresh but was as good as it gets in terms of position.
“It’s a good bolt on to Darryn’s place at the front if someone has got the appetite and is in a position to acquire the whole corner but in its own right it is still an exceptional offering,” Mr Gray said.
“It would certainly entice me if you wanted to have the waterfront position but extra landholding and either run it like Darryn or potentially – it would be a shame to knock over Toorak – but it wouldn’t surprise me if someone of that capacity used that as their big garage, pool, tennis court out the back.”
Lyons ran his business from the four-bedroom house at 1 Toorak Pde, Geelong.
A fully equipped bar presides over the rear living room.
The front lounge features a decorative fireplace and original timber windows.
The sale comes as Lyons seeks to severe property ties with his hometown after embarking on an international travel odyssey.
Since launching in February, the asking price for 11 The Esplanade, Geelong, has been reduced from $7.7m to $8.3m.
Mr Gray said there had been uptick in inquiry on the back of that decision, which reflected buyer feedback.
The more modest two-storey house in Toorak Pde is set behind manicured gardens and offers views of Geelong’s city skyline from its rear first-floor balcony.
The central kitchen has a 600mm wall oven, 900mm gas cooktop and a tiled splashback.
There’s a putting green and swimming pool out the back.
Darryn Lyons has dropped the price for his former waterfront mansion at 11 The Esplanade, Geelong.
It features a formal lounge and dining areas with period detail in the original front section, while a rear extension added several decades ago centres around a sunken living space with slate floors overlooking the pool.
A loft-style space with its own balcony positioned above a tandem garage provides a flexible fourth bedroom option.
“The feedback is that it needs a remodelling … but it’s very liveable. You could sit there and figure out the plans over time,” Mr Gray said.
