A Sunshine Coast precinct now more than ten years in the making has launched sales for its fourth and final suburb, along with a display village of 34 homes for its new owners.
Developer Stockland began work on Aura in 2016, with the land development now home to more than 16,000 residents.
With the suburbs of Baringa, Nirimba and Banya all built, land packages have been made available for the suburb of Gagalba: planning to bring 6,000 new homes to the growing area.
Aura, a Sunshine Coast development by Stockland, is releasing land packages for Gagalba, the last of its four suburbs.
The precinct has been in development for ten years now, with a new display village now open for homeowners to walk through possible designs for their future residences.
Stockland development director Josh Sondergeld said Aura was part of a long-term plan to expand the Sunshine Coast into an affordable residential locale for homeowners.
“The Sunshine Coast continues to attract new residents who are drawn to its coastal lifestyle, and there’s a clear need for more homes that offer choice, affordability and long-term liveability,” he said.
“This new neighbourhood will offer housing options for everyone, from first home buyers through to upgraders and downsizers.”

Lot sizes for homes ranged up to 480 sqm, with Gagalba found at the south of Banya near the Bells Creek South corridor.
With all lots from the first release allocated the day sales launched, the next release is planned for May 9, and will see lots up to 496 sqm in size.
For people looking for new home designs, Aura’s display village has 34 homes from 21 associated builders available to inspect.
These buildings include 18 single-storey and 11 double-storey designs, with sizes ranging from between 145 sqm and 444 sqm.
Different home designs for future buyers to view include sizes ranging from 145 sqm to 444 sqm.
“Exploring the display village alongside the surrounding neighbourhood helps buyers see how parks, schools, active paths and everyday amenities all come together for families at Aura,” Mr Sondergeld said.
“[It] allows buyers to compare different styles, layouts and price points, helping them make confident decisions about what will work best for their family and their budget.”
The display homes and Gagalba sales are being made as Aura prepares to launch its Town Centre, which recently started construction.
Work is also underway for Aura Town Centre, with more than 55 different shops and food venues on the way.
It is designed to connect to the 5.3 hectare parklands, both planned to be completed in 2027.
Planned to be connected to the 5.3 hectare Aura Parklands and the future Aura Hotel, the centre will be a major retail space with more than 55 different stores, cafes, restaurants and kiosks.
The centre will be the latest in a series of community facilities across the precinct, including three state schools, a private school and two childcare centres, with a third to come in May of this year.
Land releases are available now, with homeowners expected to move in by the middle of next year.
“Seeing families and people of all ages put down roots here and contribute to the culture of Aura has been incredibly rewarding,” Mr Sondergeld said.
The Parklands are expected to open in early 2027, with the centre to follow later that year. Overall, the project is expected to support around 15,000 jobs across the region.
Gagalba’s first land releases are available now, and new homeowners can be expected to move in from mid-2027.
