From sixes to settlements, Cutting said the move to an agent had been a long time coming — he dabbled in sales last year and has more than a decade of experience behind the scenes in property investment, development and buying.
“It’s always been there in the background,” Cutting said.
“Now it’s become the main game.”
“I started my real estate licence back in 2007, then finished it during Covid when I had time in quarantine.
“I’ve been investing, developing and building for a long time, and I set up a buyer’s agency a few years ago while I was still playing.”

The glamorous couple have been busy renovating their Hawthorne property, which they paid $2.86m for in 2024.
On a 810sq m block, the early 1900s Queenslander residence has six bedrooms, three bathrooms and original features such as soaring ceilings, traditional VJ boards and timber floors.
“It’s a beautiful old Queenslander, but we are weighing up the best option to do inside,” said Holland, who splits her time between Brisbane and Sydney.
“It’s a real tusle at the moment for sure and we haven’t actually decided.
“We completed the outdoors, levelled out the backyard, put in a pool and cabana.
“It’s a great lifestyle we have here in Queensland.”
The couple have been busy installing a pool and doing up the backyard of their Hawthorne property.
The couple also has an interest in investing — they are the driving force behind Golconda Property Group, a residential and commercial property development company.
“We have a block at Morningside and are looking at developing townhouses,” Holland said.
“But we are also diversifying into commercial with our first site in Aspley and that has been a whole new thing to get out heads around.
“Property is definitely our focus.”

While he hasn’t completely hung up the whites, Cutting said his attention had firmly shifted to his real estate career.
“I’m still playing a little bit here and there, but this is where my focus is now – this is now full-time.”
Cutting said joining Place Kangaroo Point came down to the team and a high-performance environment that felt familiar.
“It’s a smaller team, but they’re sharp, they work hard, and you can see the results they’re getting,” he said.
“To be around people like Simon, Courtney, and Michael and learn from them – that’s what I’m looking forward to.”

Cutting will focus on Brisbane’s inner-east — territory he knows well.
“I’ve been in the 4171 postcode for a long time,” he said.
“I’m out in the area every day – walking, running, seeing what’s happening with builds and renovations.
“You get a feel for the market when you’re that close to it, not just the homes, but the people as well.”
While Cutting focuses on sales, Holland is set to release her video podcast, which she will host with The Block judge Darren Palmer.

Century 21 Australia is launching Home of the Century on May 7, a series designed around buying, selling, investing and renovating.
The eight-part series features experts, homes, and stories from first-home buyers finding creative ways into the property market to families rethinking where and how they live.
“I had been dancing around the property development area for a little while,” said Holland,
who recently got her Real Estate Agent’s license.
“As I’m on my own property investing journey, the most prevalent thing that stands out is that education is everything.
“I love people and in the episodes we cover everything from investing with friends, doing the interstate move, land verses location — there are so many different stories and it’s incredibly rewarding to share them.”
“I hope the podcast and what we’re doing encourages people to open their eyes to property and realise there’s so many different ways to get into the market and to continue in the market.”
